The Talkies is finally out on Rough Trade... Here is a Film Hyper Lapse of the Mansion Sessions... This album is another Masterpiece from Girl Band and I'm honoured to have been involved...
HyperLapse of the first night of a two-night, sold-out, run in Vicar Street with Lankum this time last year… These Hyper’s were meant to be Euro and US Tour Teasers that were canceled because of the Pandemic… Here’s hoping to a return to nights like this and continued work with Lankum and Rough Trade Records…
Nice to see my stuff getting used in a new way in this video animated by Marry Watterson for Lankum and Rough Trade Records… Killer Mix by Spud… Killer recording by Chestnutt… Was great to be a part of this record and these gigs… Also great to meet Spider Stacy and everyone that was over from Rough Trade before the world fell apart…

HyperLapse of tracking days in Bow Lane Studios during the making of Girl Band's Debut LP back in 2015
Alarmist’s sophomore record “Sequesterer” has been out a for a few weeks now… Fecking Bahamas just premiered this video of ‘Lactic Tang’ I shot during the day we made it in the studio… I think it shows that while Alarmist’s music is very serious, composed and high brow - the actual process of its creation is a complete joke…
The first small glimpse into the making of NSW's second LP in Electrical Audio with Steve Albini. This vid was dropped recently enough to mark the 10 year anniversary of the band and finishing mixing back in Ireland with Ivan Jackman at Hellfire Studios. I have a lot more from Chicago to come...
HyperLapse from Sunn O))) at the Button Factory last summer... Big thanks to Sunn O))), Stephen O’Malley and Southern Lord Recordings for sharing all the photos and this vid last year... Best collection of amps and instruments I think I have ever seen on a stage…
New Secret Weapon, Live @ The Meadow. Recorded by Deaf Bros. Mixed by Ivan Jackman. Video by myself with additional camera operation on the day by Hershal.
HyperLapse of the Ty Segall and Freedom Band blowing the roof off the Tivoli around this time a couple of years ago… One of the best gigs I’ve seen over the years… Killer Garage Psych…
Shot during the making of Popular Demain back in 2014. Alarmist use every bit of kit in the gaff when they are making an album. Always a pleasure be involved in these recordings.
Thee Oh Sees blew the roof off the Button Factory… It was gig of the year - no doubt… The best live band on the planet - for sure… Another stellar booking by U:Mack… I look forward to their return… Here is the Hyper from the show… Legends…
Rían and myself put this together for the Cujo's in the run up to the release of their third and final album, Pigs In The Pen, which we recorded in The Meadow back in 2014/2015.
Studio Montage of photo's, time-lapse and videos from the making of Dissociation Mechanics by Wild Rocket in Twin Towers.
HyperLapse of Maths + Maths = Maths first kraut-rock extravaganza in the Bernard Shaw back in 2015.
HyperLapse of Percolator's Dublin Launch of Sestra last year at the Bello Bar. It took 7 years to complete but its worth the wait and its great to see the album and band get the recognition they justly deserve. Out now on Penske.
HyperLapse of The Altered Hours @ Knockanstockan in 2016 - which was used by the band to tease an upcoming Irish Tour.
Was lovely to hack this footage of Paris together for Clara Tracey. This is just a teaser for the full version which is coming soon. Clara has been out in The Meadow recently putting together new material with Rían - so keep an eye out for more work from this unique songwriter.
HyperLapse of my time in all the 5 boroughs of New York City. Its every picture taken in my time there - so its about 5 months worth of photos - somewhere between 10 and 15,000 as far as I remember but I am unsure at this stage.
Sounds composed by Rían Trench.
This vid was premiered in an interview I did with This Greedy Pig a couple of years ago. It also shown at an exhibition in Liverpool shortly after its initial release, which was organised by my old friend Sam Meech .
Performance video I shot and edited for Destriers late last year to support their first 7 Inch release - Cynosure - on Distroy Records.
Hyper of All We Are's killer secret show at the The Salty Dog around the release of their first record. The lads came straight down to the boat after the Other Voices show. They returned to do another Secret Salty Show last year after playing one of the big Picnic tents.
Hyper of All We Are's first Dublin headline show at The Workman's Club. This gig was in a run of gigs around the release of their first album. Released to critical acclaim by Domino Records.
All We Are have a great relationship with Other Voices and have played their Picnic stage and the Church. This was AWA's first show with Other Voices and their first Picnic appearance.
HyperLapse of ASIWYFA playing the Metro in Chicago. Big thanks to ASIWYFA and Cathy at Sargent House for sorting the press pass.
HyperLapse of New Gods recording their final release Weird War Tales in The Meadow with Tommy O'Sullivan. Released by Distroy back in 2016. RIP New Gods.
1 Year with Leo Drezden. This HyperLapse has over 5000 images. Photos cover the writing, recording and rehearsals during the making of the album Multi Moments. Hyper also has all the press shots I took for features and interviews during their most active year after the release of the album. The Hyper featured an unreleased musical interlude and was the bands final release. RIP Leo Drezden.
Was very excited to be asked to chop this video together for The Altered Hours. Great to be involved in this EP somehow as I love band, their output and the wider group of people involved. Void was Directed by Helio Leon, shot by Izabela Szczutkowska & Helio Leon. On My Tongue was also recorded by my good buds Dan Fox and Jamie Hyland so it all comes full circle with this dropping today.
HyperLapse of the last Princess gig in the Bello Bar a good few years ago. This Hyper is backed by a never before heard piece by the band and could be the final release of music we will ever hear from the late great Princess. RIP
HyperLapse of S.M.T.B at the Bello Bar last year. Backed by Body War. Which is exactly what this gig was.
HyperLapse of Wild Rocket playing at the Workman's Club back in 2016. This was used to tease the (U:Mack) album launch of their second record, Disassociation Mechanics, which was recorded by Rian and myself (AKA Deaf Brothers). Rocket play Ballina tomorrow so its an apt day to drop a few live snaps of the lads.
HyperLapse of Paddy Hanna recording sessions for Frankly, I Mutate with Dan Fox and Jamie Hyland. Photo's shot on numerous days and nights in Bow Lane - which has recently been demolished. Album out on March 2nd, 2018, on Strange Brew.
HyperLapse from Robocobra Quartet in the Black Box, Belfast, back in late 2015. This HyperLapse was used as promo for a sizeable UK & Irish Tour of their first full length LP, Music For All Occasions, in 2016.
Rían and myself recorded Mescalito's first EP a while back. This is a mashup of footage from the sessions. Was great to finally pin down this legendary Irish jam band in a studio for a few days after nearly a decade of sporadic activity. There will be photos from these sessions at some stage.
So glad this vid was finally dropped today. This was my favourite track from Meltybrains? Kiss Yourself EP that Rían and myself (AKA Deaf Brothers) recorded down in The Meadow. Loved the drum sound we got together, the epic soundscape that was created for such a tiny piece of music and the ridiculous car horn at the end. Think this vid encapsulates all of that. I have one more vid from these sessions to drop tomorrow.
Another one from Meltybrains? Kiss Yourself EP sessions that Rían and myself (AKA Deaf Brothers) recorded down in The Meadow. I know that this is a bit of an old one for the band and that Bob Gallagher did an amazing live vid of this one a while back but this is one of the best studio vids I've put together during the recording process. Love the build in this and the way it just gets more and more intense. Vocals recorded in Abbey a few weeks later during mixing.
HyperLapse of Come On Live Long launching In The Still at Whelan's last year. Fingers crossed for them to win the Choice Music Award for best Album of 2016 tonight in Vicar Street.
MMOTHS debut LP, Luneworks, was released this time last year. This TimeLapse is One Hour during the mixing process with Rían down The Meadow. New stuff from Jack Colleran this year, which Trench also had a hand in and I can confirm is another amazing piece of work.
I put this video together for Oddsocks during the recording of their album in The Meadow and Abbey St back in the summer and autumn of 2016. This was dropped pretty much this time last year in support of the release of their first full lenght studio LP - Sounds of the City.
Rían and myself recorded All Tvvins down in The Meadow for their first video release way back when. This is a little HyperLapse of the Setup and Soundcheck that day. I'll drop the best snaps from Setup later on. All Tvvins play another sold out show at the Olympia this Friday.
Rían and myself recorded All Tvvins down in The Meadow for their first video release way back when. These are some of the best shots during the shooting later that night. There was another session about a year later but I took a crew pic at the end of the day. Both of the Vids were directed and shot by Neil Hoare. All Tvvins play another sold out show at the Olympia this Friday.
Was great to edit all this footage of Paris together for Clara Marie. Clara has been out in The Meadow recently putting together new material with Rían. She has also just announced a Body & Soul appearance with her new band featuring Kayak (Hugh Kessel) so keep an eye out for more stuff from this unique songwriter.
First Melts tracks were released last week and are now available on all the usual platforms. This was the first Teaser I dropped for them and its a TimeLapse of the first nights recording down in The Meadow. Melts play their first headline show in Whelan's in a couple of weeks.
This HyperLapse is the Trailer for the video of Skyward I put together for Melts while we were tracking their first recordings down in The Meadow. It is made up out of all the photos from the sessions. This vid is also a flyer for the lads first headline show in Whelan's in a couple of weeks.
First Melts video which was shot during the recording of Skyward down in The Meadow late last year. The tracks are getting well received by both the press and public and have had airplay on the Paul McLoone Show. Nialler9 gave this its premiere and there has been glowing reviews from The Thin Air and The Last Mix Tape amongst others.
No Spill Blood play the The Grand Social this Saturday at Midnight... My band Deborah will be support on the night... This is a HyperLapse from No Spill at the BelloBar ages ago…
No Spill Blood play the The Grand Social this Saturday with Deborah supporting... This Hyper is made up from photos of No Spill in the Twisted Pepper a few years ago.
HyperLapse of No Spill Blood launching Heavy Electricity at The Workman’s Club. Heavy Electricity was the first production Rían and myself did together and the beginnings of Deaf Brothers. No Spill play the The Grand Social this Saturday with Deborah supporting and play Raw Power at the end of the month.
It was a pleasure to work on this Live Vid for Dan Fitzpatrick (AKA Badhands)… Shot in Ailfionn Studios and Recorded and Mixed by Chris Barry… String Arrangements by Aoife Ruth and also featuring Zoe Ni Riordain and Maud Lee…
Great to see this finally get announced and that the HyperLapse I made of The Grand Social show Spud recorded was used to launch the new collaborative Katie Kim & Crash Ensemble Live Record and its upcoming launch show at The National Concert Hall
Panik Attaks recently did a bunch of recording with The Deaf Brothers down in The Meadow. This is the first release from these sessions. The Panik Attaks are a bit of a Dublin supergroup at this stage. Trevor Keogh from New Secret Weapon on drums. The legend that is Mik Pyro doing screaming leads. Alex Harvey from Thumper on bass and recently now joined by Rían Trench on rhythm and extra screaming leads. Rob Noxious is the unfortunate captain and navigator of this wayward ship and this vid of him doing vocal takes pretty much encapsulates the Panik Attaks buzz - straight up, no bullshit, raw punky rock’n’roll.
The Redneck Manifesto celebrate the launch of their new record and 20 years of the bands existence today with a very special gig in Vicar Street. This is a HyperLapse of their last gig in Whelan’s in early 2018. The new album sounds great and was recorded by Dave Odlum in Attica.
Fucked Up blasted through a blistering set to a packed Grand Social last Saturday… It was Timo’s first gig of 2019 (which is the 25th anniversary of U:Mack)… This is the HyperLapse from the show and you can catch Fucked Up around the UK and Europe until the end of the month…
Gum Takes Tooth in The Roundy last week… Support from BB84 at both the Dublin and Cork gigs… Was great working on this little tour with everyone involved, especially Jussi and Tom from GTT… Big thanks to Albert for looking after us at the Cork leg and setting this up from the get go… Thanks to Langero for putting us all up and putting up with us… Great first gig for Moose’s new gig promotion moniker Ascension in Dublin… The JigSaw gig was Co-Promoted with Timo and U:Mack… Deaf Brothers pulled the PA together with a little help from the lads at Acoustik… ‘Borrowed Lies’ is the tune that backs this HyperLapse and its my favourite track from last year and another stellar release from Rocket Recordings… Looking forward to the next GTT gig in Ireland…
The Messthetics were definitely one of the best bands I have ever seen… Amazing guitar playing from Anthony Pirog… Backed by the powerhouse that is Brendan Canty and Joe Lally - the former Fugazi rhythm section… Robocobra were consistently brilliant as ever on support duties… U:Mack’s second gig of the year was another absolute belter…
My first monster making of… ‘7 Days’ is a comprehensive insight into the creation of No Spill Blood’s debut album - ‘Heavy Electricity’… Big thanks to Matt, Ru and Lar for letting stick cameras in their face for days on end and letting me finally put all these ideas I had had into one project worthy of covering in depth… Thanks also go out to Sargent House for premiering the vids and pushing it with the album campaign…
Shot & Edited this Vid for Panik Attaks a while ago… Directed by Rían Trench… Great to see it finally get out in the world and big thanks to Brian Coney & The Thin Air for the Premiere…
I didn’t make it to many gigs at Knockanstockan last year before I got totally lost… Here is a Hyper of the few I did make it to… Just Mustard was my standout gig of the weekend before disappearing into the artist car park for about three days…
Video flyer I put together for the upcoming U:Mack and Aiken Co-Promote gig in the Button Factory with Russian Circles and No Spill Blood as Special Guests…

Smashed together some Battles stuff from Warp Records for U:mack and Aiken Promotions gig on the 24th in the Button Factory...
The Thin Air just premiered the new Panik Attaks Live @ The Meadow vid for “Mr. Supplier”…
First little music doc I put together over a decade ago… Worked on this Gorbachov record for a year back then and it had some great sounds… Hometown favourites and Winners of Murphy’s Live way back when…
Rían and myself did a ten day run with Bitch Falcon earlier this year... The first single of that batch, 'Damp Breath', came out late last week... I did the video for it and it is a HyperLapse of those ten days... It is made up of all the shots from the DSLR’s, 35mm and 120mm Film of the Sessions…
Jon Spencer & The Hitmakers ripped it up in Whelan’s… I saw the Blues Explosion a few years ago and it literally blew my mind… You know this man has been on the road forever… So proficient… Another killer U:Mack show with Grave Goods on support duties…
MONO (Japan) tore the face off Whelan's last night... U:mack knocking it outta the park again... MONO have been at the forefront of post-rock for 20 years and this show really was immense…
Plaid was ace in Whelan’s earlier this year… Killer A/V show… The Polymer Tours continued all year… Great to meet some heroes… Another great long standing U:Mack relationship… Polymer is out now on Warp Records
Battles returned to the Button Factory with U:Mack in October of this year… It was amazing to see them finally and walking into them doing ‘Atlas’ in the soundcheck was a special moment for me… This gig was towards the start of their Euro Tour in support of the new record, “Juice B Crypts”, out now on Warp Records…
Epic... Russian Circles at the Button Factory with No Spill Blood on support… One of the big U:Mack gigs in 2019…
Daughters was one of the most anticipated gigs of the year and deservedly so… Amazing performance from start to end… A definite highlight of U:Mack’s 25th year…
Chopped this video after shooting the computer screen at weird angles on the DSLR… Sums up how we in the Panik Attaks feel about the establishment… Proud of this one…
Thumper are blasting around the UK at the moment… This is a teaser video I made out of snaps from The Grand Social late last year… The first single from the batch of recording Rían and myself did last year appears on the 28th of this month too…
Smashup of some of the stupid shit that was said and done over the 5 days of shooting and tracking these tunes in The Meadow back in 2012 and 2013...
Smashup of footage from the final mix of “Dead In Absentia” at home on my favourite tape machine (Tascam 388) and a night spent in the studio with Alwyn Walker firing stuff through nice gear before that final mix…
Smashup of a bit of everything from the Ext Funct folder using the initial edit of footage I did from the first day and tracking of “Void”… This one also features a load of the photo timelapses and hyperlapses we shot at various stages of this overall project… Also features excerpts of remixes Botsy made from the original recordings…
Hyperlapse of Alarmist’s two night run with Algorithm in the Project Arts Centre to launch ‘Sequesterer’…
Back in October, Rían and myself shot Alarmist’s very special pair of projection and laser-enhanced shows at Project Arts Centre to launch the latest album with Algorithm… Thanks to Nialler9 for premiering the live video I put together for 'Expert Hygiene' from those shows… It was very dark but I think it all worked out in the end and I really hope we see these Alarmist / Algorithm show again sometime cause it was immense…
